BILJANA UNKOVSKA

Biljana Unkovska is a Slovenian painter of Macedonian origin. She spent her young years in Skopje, and she travelled the world extensively because the family often moved for her father’s job. In 1976, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, where she then completed a graduate programme in printmaking two years later, followed by a graduate programme in painting in 1980. She designed Macedonia’s banknotes and has held a number of group and solo exhibitions in Slovenia and elsewhere.
She lives and works in Ljubljana.
