Marko Modic is an art photographer that leads a dynamic and unique life, which is also reflected in his art. The images (objects) displayed are fun, original, and full of surprises. They contain rare pieces and parts of machines from recent history that complement the drawing and colours in a composition of ordered coincidence. The mechanisms of disassembled clocks and other devices displayed appear as metaphors for organizing one’s own identity in the world of appearances. The message communicated by these works is a desire to connect seemingly fragmented events, adventures, experiences, micro and macro worlds, light, and the eye. The fragmented worlds are accurate and only seemingly dispersed. With a little imagination, they come to life in a sometimes tragic and sometimes humorous world of a haptically perceived perpetuum mobile, which is not what it seems.
